Chief Master Sergeant Tracey D. Canady is the 10th Florida State Command Chief Master Sergeant and is assigned to Headquarters, Florida Air National Guard, Saint Francis Barracks, Saint Augustine, Florida. He serves as the personal advisor to the Commander, Florida Air National Guard Assistant Adjutant General, Florida Air National Guard on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress of the enlisted force. He represents the highest level of enlisted leaders for the Florida Air National Guard. Chief Canady is responsible for the direction of the enlisted force and represents their interests at the state and national level.

Chief Canady entered the Florida Army National Guard in February 1991. He graduated Tactical Satellite/Microwave Repair Course August 1992. He was assigned to the 146th Signal Battalion for seven years. In April 1998 he became a member of the Florida Air National Guard 125th Fighter Wing. Throughout his career he has filled several roles in the Communication Flight, Supervisor of Plans and Programs, Supervisor for Ground Radio with additional duties as a member of the Communications Flight Standards and Evaluation Team, Unit Career Advisor, Personal Wireless Communications Manager (PWCS) for the Fighter Wing and four of the nine Geographically Separated Unites (GSU’s), and a member of the Base Honor Guard Team. Chief Canady served as the Wing Human Resource Advisor (HRA) where he created awareness and provided guidance on the Air National Guard Director’s vision for diversity and force development. He also advised the Fighter Wing senior leadership in identifying, evaluating and resolving human relations and work performance problems. Chief Canady served as the Operations Group Chief. He assists the commander in formulating plans and establishing policies for unit administration, organization, operation, and training. Chief Canady was responsible for matters influencing the welfare, health, morale and professional development of the Operations Group Airmen. Chief Canady has also served in deployed locations oversees to include Panama, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, United Arab of Emirates and Demark.

Chief Canady last position before becoming the State Command Chief, he served as the Medical Group Detachment Chief Enlisted Manager. Chief Canady was responsible for matters influencing the welfare, health, morale and professional development of the Medical Group Detachment Airmen.
