Major General Michael A. Calhoun is The Adjutant General, Florida. As the Adjutant General, he is the senior military advisor to the Governor, responsible for the overall management, readiness, and mobilization of both U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force elements of the Florida National Guard.

Brigadier General Brian M. Simpler serves as the Assistant Adjutant General - Air, Florida National Guard, and also serves as the Commander, Florida Air National Guard. General Simpler is responsible for mission readiness, operations and coordination of the ten Florida Air National Guard units at seven geographically separated sites.

In this role he is the senior federal official for the FLARNG and serves as principal executive assistant and advisor to the Adjutant General exercising executive management authority in planning, developing, executing and controlling all Florida Army National Guard programs.
Command Chief Warrant Officer
Chief Warrant Officer 5 Gerald H. Dedge assumed responsibilities as the Florida Army National Guard Command Chief Warrant Officer on April 1, 2015. As a member of the Command Group, Mr. Dedge advises the Adjutant General on all aspects of managing the Warrant Officer program and assists the Command Group in the strategic direction of the Florida National Guard and its members.
Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Adjutant General
Command Sergeant Major Jeffrey L. Young was appointed the sixth State Command Sergeant Major (CSM) of the Florida Army National Guard on May 3, 2015. Prior to his assignment as Florida’s State CSM, he was serving as CSM with the 53rd Brigade Combat Team, Pinellas Park, Florida.
Command Sergeant Major - Army
Command Sergeant Major Enrique Mendez Jr. serves as the Command Sergeant Major for the Florida Army National Guard. He entered the United States Army in 1980 and attended One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Sill, Okla., where he was trained as a 13F Forward Observer.
State Command Chief Master Sergeant
Chief Master Sgt. Jerry F. Gardner Jr. is the ninth Florida State Command Chief Master Sergeant and is assigned to Headquarters, Florida Air National Guard in St. Augustine, Fla. He serves as the personal adviser to the Florida Air National Guard Commander on all issues regarding the welfare, readiness, morale, and proper utilization and progress of the enlisted force.
